General Rules

• Homestead must be applied for no later than April 1st to receive exemptions for that year.
• Applicants OR their spouse may not hold homestead in any other county or state. 
• The homesteaded property must be the same address as shown on the applicant's, and spouse's I.D. 
• Applicants must own the property on January 1st in order to claim homestead.
